Kurt C. Hofgard, JD, CLU, ChFC, AEP  holds a Bachelor of Arts in Western American History with Honors from Stanford University, and he graduated from Northwestern School of Law, Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon with honors.  He successfully completed the Advanced Estate Planning courses from the American College enroute to obtaining the Charted Life Underwriter (CLU), Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), and Accredited Estate Planner (AEP) designations. 

 Kurt is a member of the Colorado Bar Association, the Boulder County Bar Association (Business and Estate & Tax Sections), and the Boulder County Estate Planning Council.  Kurt worked at the Oregon Department of Justice for the Credit & Bankruptcy and Charitable Activities Sections before moving back to Colorado. 

Kurt was born in and grew up in Boulder.  He and his wife Linda Blank Hofgard (also an estate planning lawyer and principal at Hofgard & Associates ) live in Louisville. They enjoy music (you can stream Kurt’s meditative acoustic guitar album Negotiable Instrument, on Spotify or Apple Music), the Colorado outdoors, visiting their children, and reading.
